One to One Centre - NTGH

The sexual health service is commissioned by North Tyneside Council for residents in the borough aged 13 and over and is delivered by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

One-to-One Centre in Shiremoor has temporarily moved to ward 9, ground floor, North Tyneside General Hospital.

Patient and staff safety must always be the top priority, and concerns over the state of the service’s previous home, on Brenkley Avenue, means it has temporarily relocated.

The service that was provided from Shiremoor is now being delivered from Ward 9, which is located on the ground floor, at North Tyneside General Hospital. Opening times are listed below:

  • Monday - 8.45am – 5pm
  • Tuesday - 8.45am – 7.30pm
  • Wednesday - 8.45am – 5pm (Walk-in available 8.45am-4pm)
  • Thursday - 8.45am – 7.30pm (Walk-in available 8.45am-6.30pm)
  • Friday - 8.45am – 3pm
  • Closed some Bank Holidays - ring us for information

Patients can access the service by calling 0344 728 0554.

We are working closely with North Tyneside Council in relation to where the service will be located in the future and patients and the public will be kept informed.

Care provided by the sexual health service is free, delivered face-to-face and, if appropriate, virtually too and includes:

  • Screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PReP) treatment
  • HIV testing
  • Cervical smears
  • Support and advice
  • Free contraceptive advice and contraception including condoms, contraceptive pills, implants and coils
  • Vasectomy
  • Free emergency contraception
  • Free pregnancy tests, confidential advice, pregnancy decision making support and referrals.
